Richard D. Michelstein, MD, graduated from George Washington University Medical School, Washington, DC in 1978. His residency program was completed at Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, PA in 1981 specializing in Internal Medicine. Dr. Michelstein completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital in 1983. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Michelstein is on the active staff of Wyoming Valley Health Care, Wilkes-Barre, PA, courtesy staff of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA and on-station basis at VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA.
